Whether you’ve just joined us as a new graduate or have been an alumni for years, we are here to help answer your questions and guide you through the resources available to you.
On the page you will find answers to the most common questions we receive from our alumni. Our goal is to make sure you have quick and easy access to the information you are looking for. If you can’t find what you are looking for send an email to the alumni office at alumni@ontariotechu.ca.

How do I and why should I update my contact information address or email?
Please fill out our address update form if your contact information has changed.
Update your contact information to make sure you stay informed about new benefits, relevant discounts, upcoming alumni events in your area, stories about your fellow alumni and all the things happening at Ontario Tech.

How do I order a transcript?
The Registrar's Office processes all transcript requests. Information about how to request an official transcript of academic record from the university can be found on their records and scheduling website.
If you are applying to another Ontario university, you must order your transcript online through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre. All other transcript requests can be made online through your MyOntarioTech (formerly MyCampus) account. To do so you will need your Banner ID and password.- If you no longer have access to MyOntarioTech due to lack of recent use, please contact the Service Desk at 1 905 721 8668 x 3333 to have your password reset.
- If you do not remember your Banner ID, please email alumni@ontariotechu.ca with your name and graduation year.

How do I get my Digital Alumni Card and why do I need one?
Your digital alumni card helps you use all of the awesome alumni discounts. To access the digital card, alumni will need to download the Ontario Tech Mobile App and change their persona from student to alumni by clicking the small person icon located in the top right corner of the app.
Once the persona has been updated, select the digital ID square. The app will then prompt a login to confirm ID, which will require student ID and network password.
Please reach out to IT Services at 905.721.3333, option 1 if there are issues logging into the app.

How can I stay in touch with old classmates and Ontario Tech?

How can I find out about alumni events?
There are a few ways you can find out about alumni events. Visit the alumni events page on the Ontario Tech alumni website frequently for upcoming events and to register to attend.
You can also receive the Ontario Tech Alumni monthly newsletter which highlights any upcoming events. To receive the monthly email make sure your contact information with your preferred email is up to date.
If you have the Ontario Tech app with alumni persona you can view all events open to alumni on the app.

I want to share my story with Ontario tech students and alumni, how can I do that?
Please complete the Alumni Spotlight form or email the Alumni Relations office at alumni@ontariotechu.ca with the name of the alumni and some details about their career, accomplishments or contributions to their community that can be highlighted. Include a picture if you have one. All submissions will be considered however we cannot guarantee that all will be published.
By submitting you agree to allow us to share in an upcoming newsletter, social media post or in university publications.

How can I donate to the University?
As Ontario Tech alumni, you know how important financial aid is to our students. If you or someone you know wants to support the next generation of Ontario Tech graduates through scholarships or a donation to the Student Relief Fund, please visit the Ontario Tech Giving page. How do I get my free alumni e-mail?
All Ontario Tech University alumni are eligible for an ontariotechu.net email account that is theirs for life. Find out more about the Ontario Tech Email.
To set up your alumni email account for life, login to Gmail using your Ontario Tech student ID number and password. If you have forgotten your password, please contact the Service Desk at 905.721.3333.

Where do I buy gifts and alumni apparel?
Visit the Alumni Store to order alumni merchandise. Show your Ontario Tech pride and commemorate the years of hard work, passion and dedication during your time at Ontario Tech.

Can I keep using the library after I graduate?
Alumni enjoy a free lifetime membership to the campus libraries. Show your digital alumni card to borrow most regular items: up to 10 items for a 14-day loan period. In addition, you have free in-library access to magazines, journals and annual reports, as well as online periodical indexes and databases. More information can be found at ontariotechu.ca/library.

Can I use the Ontario Tech Fitness Centre after I graduate?
Alumni receive a $50 discount on the annual public membership rate, $10 off any monthly membership or $25 off a four-month membership at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre (CRWC). For more information, call 905.721.3040. To access this membership, you must show proof of alumni status by using your digital alumni card available through the Ontario Tech mobile app.

I have questions about Ontario Tech convocation. Who should I contact?
Information about convocation dates, times, renting a gown and other frequently asked questions can be found on the Ontario Tech Convocation website page.

Where can I purchase degree/diploma frames?
Diploma frames are available for purchase on the Ontario Tech Campus Store Website.

How do I get grad and class composite photos?
Graduation and composite class photo information is available through the Ontario Tech Student Union. To view information and book a session see the grad photos website page.

How do I order a replacement engineering iron ring?
The Engineering Iron Rings received during the Ritual of the Calling of the Engineer are provided by The Seven Wardens. Ontario Tech graduates are under Camp #1 (Toronto). Alumni seeking a replacement ring should contact the Camp directly for any replacements.

How long after graduation do I have access to Microsoft 365 services and Google Drive/Photos?
You will lose access to Microsoft 365 services and Google Drive/Photos 6 months after graduation, we encourage you to download all your data as soon as possible. You will remain to have access to OntarioTechU.Net email account with a limit of 1GB storage. Please uninstall all Ontario Tech software you have downloaded through the Software Portal. For assistance, please contact the IT Service Desk.
